I am on my way w/ JG TB soon, plus a type R TB cable bracket w/ some mod it should work. I got the skunk2 IM for my 01 GSR, there seems to be more tricks than what people had mentioned in installing it, first, you gotta T off the PCV/EVAP hose, I used 5/16" they work, don't need no type R PCV hose, you gotta get a 1/8" vacuum cap for one of the vacuum outlet on the IM, there's one extra coolant line coming out of the manifold, I used 5/16" and hooked a plug to the end, i might use that for aftermarket coolant temp later, i also bypassed the TB using a 2' long 5/16" coolant line, apparently the 01 GSR TB swings open in a different direction than other GSRs, the rotor turns counterclock instead of clockwise, so the stock bracket still fits and the hood closes, but the strut bar won't go on, taking of the old IM gasket is a biatch,Īnyway, i got it installed, the low end seems okay, revs up fast w/ ITR intake cam, midrange when Vtec kicks at 4500-5500rpm is pretty weak, 6000-8000rpm it pulls hard, JG Edelbrock custom turbo exhaust manifold RC 1000cc injectors Spoon sports engine torque damper Walboro 255lph fuel pump MSD 6al ignition box MSD Blaster ss coil MSD 8.
